England murmured and cursed under his breath as he sat down in his back yard. That France hadn't let go of him the whole conference and had been more annoying than ever before. And then, he had said something very hurtful, though it was the truth.
Concerning the ladies he couldn't compare to that frog.
He once again cursed, this time louder and harsher.
He sighed and took a sip of his tea.

He suddenly heard a light giggle behind him, from a higher branch of that big oak.
“Such harsh words from a gentleman. What happened to make you so angry?”
He saw a young woman, opened (h/c) hair falling down her back, (e/c) glittering slightly with joy and a soft smile gracing even softer lips. His thoughts stopped when he found no words to describe her beauty. She graciously glided through the air towards the earth and towards him. Her white silk-dress complimented her fragile figure.
She cocked her head in askance and smiled brighter. “Who has angered you?”
He was too shocked to answer immediately, trying to categorize her. She wasn't a fairy for sure. Maybe a spiritual being?
“Arthur?” she softly asked. “Are you alright?”
He cleared his throat. “You know my name?” he asked incredulously, not believing someone graceful and amazing as her would know him. Just a personified country among others with a bit of magical abilities.
“The call always comes together with the identity.” she simply answered. “You called for me, though unconsciously. It was about a wish of yours. And it must be quite strong of a wish to call me, who lives in a different world.”
“...” he stared at her, only slowly processing what she had said.
“Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself yet. I am _______. A being of another world. One of the few to travel between worlds actually.”
“Nice... nice to meet you.” he finally got out. He mentally slapped himself to wake his mind. “Would you like some tea?”
“I'd love to have some.”
“Then please wait a moment.” he slowly stood and went back inside to get another cup.
When he came back, two seats out of grass and flowers had formed, together with a small tea table between them. She sat on one of the chairs, looking up into the sky, still smiling. A few of his magical friends were with her, flying mint bunny had sat down on her left shoulder, looking into the sky with her, a unicorn was being caressed by her and a flower fairy sat on the made tea table and hummed a small melody.
“Here's your tea, love.”
“Thank you, Arthur.” she softly smiled and took a sip, then sighed happily. “It tastes great.”
“Thanks.” he murmured before sitting down carefully, only to be greeted by softness and strength. He felt comfortable.
For a short while they enjoyed the silence and looked into the sky.
“Er, love... Would you care to explain it to me once more?”
She chuckled softly. “Alright. I am from another world. You unconsciously called for me with your magic abilities, wishing for something very strongly. I decided to follow that call, came to this world and found you here.”
“I see. Should I know that wish?”
She chuckled once again, now together with the flower fairy. “No. It is an unconscious wish. You probably are not aware of it.”
“Thank you, love. I understood it now.” He thought for a bit. “And you know that wish?” he asked with a small blush covering his cheeks. If she did, then she'd know him better than he himself did.
She just smiled mischievously. “Who knows.”
His eyes widened and then he chuckled. Seemed like she wasn't only proper, but also fun.
“I came here on a whim.” she said absentmindedly. “Just to get to know you and once again visit this world. Maybe I'll help you with something you want.”
He slowly nodded and smiled at her mischief.

The flapping of wings broke his train of thoughts. A young man with black hair and black feathered wings landed before them.
“________! You just disappeared again! Do you know how many guards the boss sent? Just to find out you weren't in our world anymore and once again came here?! And then I had to stop doing my job just to retrieve you, because-”
“because no other guard is able to cross worlds and be as fast as you.” she finished, cutting him off. “But even you have to use one of the portals to come here. And you shouldn't fly around like this. At least put on your cover, there are many with the added sense around here.”
He huffed out a heavy breath and crossed his arms. “I know. Just like the one over there, right?” he gestured towards Arthur. “But I had to find you, fast. The boss got more nervous each minute and you left no trace. You just love to hide, don't you?”
“Yes, kinda.” she hadn't stood up the whole conversation and continued to pet the unicorn.
“You have to come back now.” he said determined. “And no further games. The boss fears for you.”
“That guy needs to accept that I can protect myself. And that I will do what I want to do and don't listen to him like an underling.” she shrugged and smiled again. “Tell him that.”
“Don't call him 'that guy'! He's the boss!!”
“Your boss, not mine.” she responded smoothly, not even looking up. “And I will stay here for a while. I want to help him.” She softly smiled at Arthur, who hadn't interrupted the conversation out of curiosity.
“______!”
She sighed and slowly stood. “Alright.” an enveloped appeared in her opened palm. “Give him that. He will understand. And if he still wants me to come, he should come get me personally.”
The winged man huffed and then sighed, taking the envelope. “You're too stubborn. But I will do as you say.” he bowed deeply. “Please take care.”
“I will.” she simply answered as the man took of and disappeared into the blue sky.
She smiled softly and sat down again, starting to caress the unicorn once again.
“You are needed back in your world, love? I do not want to hold you back.” England asked, his caterpillar eyebrows furrowed.
“No. It's alright. It is my wish to stay here. And I will keep to that.”
He sighed and smiled at her. “If it really is your wish.”
She inclined her head and smiled back.

Evening came and the sun slowly set on them. They watched the sunset together, still sitting in the grass and flower chairs.
He took her inside and offered making dinner. She declined, saying she wasn't hungry. He then offered her his bed, saying he'd take the couch.
She declined again.
“You should sleep in your bed, it is yours after all.”
“But I will not let a lady take the couch.”
She raised one eyebrow. “How do you know that I require sleep at all?”
He stocked. “Well, I just guessed you would...”
She softly smiled and took his hand in hers. “I do. Though not as much as you, but I still do.”
He smiled just as softly let their fingers intertwine.
“Would you like the bed?” he asked quietly, sincerely, looking down at their hands.
“Only if you share it with me.”
He blushed brightly at the though, which made her laugh lightly. Then he nodded.
They went upstairs to his bedroom where he disappeared into the near bathroom to change into his sleeping-clothes.
He changed into a loose t-shirt and loose shorts and then went back into his room just in time to see her change clothes. She moved her hand in a circular motion from her knees up to her head. Shiny light and glitter followed the move and she now wore a nightgown, colored in a soft, creamy golden tone. Together, they laid down and she hugged him loosely before her eyes closed and she murmured a 'good night'  and her breathing evened.
Arthur squeezed their still intertwined hands and softly responded with a 'good night, love' before he fell asleep himself.

-...-

The next morning Arthur woke to the rays of sunlight and bird chirping just outside the window. He looked over to find ______ wasn't there anymore.
He was wide awake now, afraid that it had been a dream after all. Sitting up he grabbed new clothes and rushed to dress himself. But when he opened the bedroom door, he heard soft humming from the kitchen.
He tapped down the stairs, smelling tea and some sweet bakery.
As he entered the kitchen, he saw her move around graciously and swiftly, the table was already set and in the oven he saw buns being growing bigger and more golden at each second. She wore other clothes than before, now a mid-thigh-long moss green plaid skirt and a cream-white dress shirt.
He hugged her around her waist from behind, not embarrassed about the touch as the day before. It was just so natural to him right now, after sharing the bed the night before. She leaned into his touch and smiled softly.
“Good morning, love.” he said softly, taking in her sweet scent, mixed together with a bit of tea and sweet honey.
“Good morning, Arthur.” _________ replied just as softly, before she turned around and made him sit down at the table, pecking him on the cheek and sitting down next to him.
They ate in silence, Arthur enjoying her presence and the whole breakfast she had prepared, praising her baking skills when he tried the buns.
When they cleaned up together, he tried not to think of the beginning day. The conference from the day before would be continued, so he would have to do with some very annoying persons the whole day.
Arthur sighed and _______ turned towards him, enveloping him in a warm hug.
He rested his head against hers and a happy smile conquered his face again. He had someone very precious at his side, someone he really loved.
Wait... loved? Did he really love her?
Yes. That warming feeling in his chest, the happiness that spread with her smile, laugh and touch. It was definitely love. But how could he have come to love her within less than a day? And did she love him back?
“I have a nice idea.” she interrupted his thoughts as she went back to cleaning the dishes and let him go.
“What is it, love?”
“How about...” she paused, lifting a finger to her soft lips, thinking a bit. “How about I take you to the conference? And you can irritate some of the other countries?”
He wasn't surprised that she know about the whole countries-as-persons thing. He did not even think about it.
“That is a nice idea, love. But how could I do the latter?”
“Simple as that. Show me off.” she softly smiled. “I could be called your girlfriend. I live with you, we sleep in the same bed and share some very deep secrets. Especially that France. He said you were quite incompetent with the ladies, didn't he?” she smiled and did not wait for an answer. “Well, I'm proof you're not.” She gave him a small sincere smile.
He also smiled, though he was blushing quite a bit. “That would be very nice.”
“And when you have a break, I will come in and visit. And you can introduce me to the other countries.” She dried her hands and intertwined them with his. “Alright?”
“Alright.” he smiled, squeezing her hands.
When he turned to get his things, she did not let go, calling out to him.
“Arthur? One more thing.”
He turned and smiled softly. “What is it, love?”
She tiptoed and pecked him on the lips. “You're a wonderful man. Don't let them drag you down.”
He blushed furiously but smiled nonetheless. He pecked her lips in return, just for a millisecond, turning even more red. “Thanks, love.”
She smiled even brighter, pushing him slightly into the direction of his office upstairs. “Go get your things or you'll be late.”
As he climbed the stairs to get his things he heard her resume the humming, the hum of a fairy shortly after joining the melody. He smiled and covered his nose and cheeks with a hand. She's just so wonderful, he thought.

When they arrived at the building, she did not let go of his hand, even going inside towards the room with him. At a corner just before the opened door to the conference room, he stopped and enveloped her in a warm hug.
“Thank you, love. Truly, thank you.” he whispered into her ear.
She smiled and hugged him closer, without saying anything.
When he let go, he still had the genuinely happy smile dominating his face. She returned it with a soft and sincere smile.
“I'll be back by noon for the break.”
“Alright, love. Take care.”
“You too.” _____ reminded him softly, before pecking his cheek.
She turned around and began walking away, having noticed the onlookers – consisting of Japan, Italy, America and China – and smiling because of it.
He willed down his blush and turned towards the room, not hearing the sound of shuffling feet returning to the room in a hasty manner.

France hurried towards the entrance of the grand building. He had slept in because of the wine he had drunk last night, something that rarely happened. But when he entered, he stopped and his eyes widened. There was a young woman with (h/c) hair falling down her fragile back openly and (e/c) shining softly in midst of a beautiful face. He gazed at her, no he stared at her. He was bewitched and when she moved past him, she inclined her head and greeted.
“Good morning.”
It was an angel's voice to France and he could only wordlessly nod in response as she left the building and walked away. He was determined to meet her again, to get a chance to talk to her and look more at her and hear more of that angelic voice. His heart asked him if her skin would be as soft as it looked and if her soul would be as angelic and lovely as her outer appearance. As he gathered his mind he swiftly walked towards the conference room.

When the conference started the other countries noticed the change with both England and France. The Briton still wore a small genuine smile and not the serious and annoyed mask as always and the Frenchman wore a dazed expression, not even groping someone or annoying his all-time rival England.
There will be at least 2 to 3 more chapters to this!!! :D
